Recent Projects
2555 Grand Ave, Kansas City, MO
This new parking garage was in need of a waterproofing coating due to the hairline cracking that occured during construction. Due to the occupancy of the building it was decided to use an odor free system. A tight time schedule also required a quick cure system that could be installed in one weekend.
Cherry Creek Parking Garage, Cherry Creek, CO
An exterior garage that had previously had a traffic membrane installed. The old coating was removed and the bad concrete was removed and replaced with structural repair mortar. Upon shot blasting the Strongcote SC-113 was applied over the entire deck. The SC-113 provided a heavy build-up and helped to mask the many imperfections of the deck. The fast cure, even in low humidity, allowed for a quick turn-around.
Delmar Gardens, South, St. Louis, MO
This retirement center was experiencing extreme deterioration of the surrounding concrete sidewalks. A bid was taken to remove and replace the approximately 300 square feet of walkway. The project would have taken several days and inhibited access to the building. As an alternative, the owner decided to path the bad concrete with Strongcrete SW-81 pedestrian coating. The result? A two day turn-around.
Eagleton Federal Courthouse, St. Louis, MO
This interior garage had experienced cracking and spall damage and was in need of a protective coating. After evaluating various types of membrane coatings, Strongcote was selected as the best suited because the interior garage could not tolerate any solvents or odors. The fast cure rate allowd the for the entire system to be installed over a single weekend.
Interco Plaza Parking Garage, Clayton, MO
The upper exposed level of this garage had a Neoguard Urethane Traffic Memberane system that was showing signs of pin-holing and premature wear. The coating was removed by hydro-demolition and spalled areas were patched with Strongcrete SW-81. Strongcote was then applied over the entire deck area and used on the lower level to protect hairline cracks.
Kelly Real Estate, St. Louis, MO
This million square foot exposed deck encountered severe spalling shortly after construction. As a result, chloride damage quickly aggravated the condition of the deck. To provide a uniform finish and protect the deck against water damage and furter salt intrusion, rough areas were coated with SW-83 repair mortar and then treated with SC-112/113 traffic coating.
Lambert Airport Main Terminal Parking Garage, St. Louis, MO
This project involved a comprehensive repair procedure that included removal and replacement of deteriorated concrete and was administrated under the guidance of structural consultant Gholam Masoumy with EDM Engineers.
Lambert Airport Arrival Ramp, St. Louis, MO
The passenger arrival ramp receives heavy shuttle and automobile traffic almost 24 hours a day. A 3M deck coating had been used in the past and showed little resistance to heavy traffic after a short time. Strongcote was selected in an effort to provide better long term wear resistance.
Marquette Garage, St. Louis, MO
An existing garage that was being modified to accommodate occupied space, thus creating a need to provide waterproof protection throughout the elevated levels. An existing urethane coating was in place on the upper level but in need of recoating while the lower levels were uncoated.
Park Place Parking Garage, Clayton, MO
This enclosed deck consists of 35,000 square feet of parking. The delaminated concrete was removed and replaced with ready mix concrete or patched with SW-81 repair mortar. Due to the shallow rebar cover, the engineer recommended the application of a traffic membrane. Strongcote was selected because of its no-odor, zero VOC status and fast cure rate.
Plaza in Clayton, Clayton, MO
This garage provides parking for the prestigious office and residential high rises in Clayton. The owner and developer were looking to provide long term protection against moisture and chloride intrusion. Shortly after construction, it was determined the shallow rebar cover and random hairline cracks would require a membrane coating.
Pointe 400, St. Louis, MO
This project involved the transformation of office space into interior parking. The two levels of parking area added consisted of 55,000 square feet and required shotblasting to remove the existing floor tile adhesive. After surface preparation, the SC-113 system was installed over the entire deck. The installation occured without interuption of building functions because of Strongcote's zero VOC and odor-free characteristics.
St. Mary's Hospital Garage, St. Louis, MO
Considerable concrete repair was needed in both overhead and horizontal applications. Extreme damage had occured to the past tension tendons and many were replaced. To assure long term protection, the owner elected to coat the newly repaired upper level with SC-113 Heavy Duty Traffic System.
St. Mary's Hosptial Bellevue West Garage, St. Louis, MO
The upper exposed level of this garage had a Neoguard Urethane Traffic Membrane System that was showing signs of pinholing and premature wear. The coating was removed by hydro-demolition and spalled areas were patched with Strongcrete SW-81 and Strongcote was applied over the entire deck.
St. Luke's Hosptial East Garage, Chesterfield, MO
This new parking garage experienced hairline cracking on a portion of the deck due to adverse weather during the concrete pour. As a rememdy, it was recommended that the hairline cracks be epoxy injected then the entire deck be coated with SC-113 Heavy Duty. The entire area was treated with two coats in the same day and opened to traffic the next day.
St. Luke's Hostipal North/South Garage Remdedial, Chesterfield, MO
Strongcote was selected because of the damages caused by the earlier use of a urethane coating. In addition, Strongcote allowed for immediate turn around given the sensitive need for parking. The hospital was also impressed with the safety aspects of Strongcote and the Odor Free zero VOC characterisitics.
Williams Technologies Headquarters, Tulsa, OK
This parking deck consisted of pre-cast pre-topped slabs totaling 260,000 square feet. The topping slab installed at the pre-cast plant proved very inconsistent. HOK Architects and EDM Engineering recommended a switch to Strongcote in order to install a system capable of a high build finish.
World Trade Center, Denver, CO
An interior garage originally called for a urethane deck coating system. Because the garage was located in the base of the building under occupied space, the need for an odor free solvent free system was desired. Using Strongcote SC 112/113 allowed the project to fit into the two weekend time schedule.
