Recent Projects
University of Missouri Parking Lot, Kansas City, MO
The UMKC Oak Street parking structure was in need of expansion joint replacement. Previous joints failed to provide protection under the high movement of the garage. EMSEAL Thermaflex TM 2.5 was selected due to its ability to withstand vehicular traffic loading and wide range of movement.
7101 College Ave, Overland Park, MO
7107 College Ave. in Overland Park, Kansas, was targeted for concrete repair, waterproofing and expansion joint replacement. The existing gland showed fatigue and damage from snow removal equipment. After removal of the old gland and nosing, the block out was cleaned and the EMSEAL Thermaflex joint was installed. Unique to EMSEAL joints, the gland is purposely positioned below the chemical nosing to protect against snow plow damage.
Missouri Baptist Hospital, St. Louis, MO
Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis incorporated both the Thermaflex vehicular joint and the Colorseal expanding foam when the new North Parking Garage was built. The two EMSEAL technologies allow for waterproof continuity when making transitions from horizontal vehicular joints to vertical faŤade joints.
Clayton Recreation Center, Clayton, MO
Clayton Recreation Center in Clayton, Missouri put the Emseal Colorseal joint to the test when a seal was required for the main entry canopy. Several changes in plane in the joint required the product to be easy to field fabricate and maintain water tightness without sacrificing aesthetics. Colorseal delivered in this challenging installation.
Lambert Airport Garage, St. Louis, MO
Lambert Airport Parking Garage holds one of the oldest St. Louis applications of Colorseal product. Installed in 1995, the Colorseal has provided a "seal" in the barrel vaulted skylight attached to the Main Terminal Parking garage. Colorseal was selected because of its ability to follow the radius contour of the skylight.
Pershing II Building, Kansas City, MO
The Pershing II Building was in need of new vehicular expansion joints in its main entrance over parking structure and occupied space. The many directional and elevation changes made this application extremely challenging. Because Thermaflex is a heat weldable santoprene rubber, the applicator was able to provide field welds without compromising the integrity of the joint seal.
Renaissance Building, Overland Park, MO
Renaissance Building in Overland Park, Kansas was faced with constant leakage in the upper level parking deck expansion joint. After complete removal of the existing joint media, the Thermaflex TM 2.5 was installed and has since provided a trouble free joint for the building's tenants.
Children's Hospital Pedestrian Walkway, St. Louis, MO
Children's Hospital in St. Louis, part of BJC Healthcare, erected an enclosed pedestrian bridge to join two structures on the property. Built with a curtain wall finish the joint design required a seismic expansion joint that could be installed without damaging the curtain wall skin. Seismic Colorseal was selected because of its ease of application and attractive finish.
